ICAR- Indian Institute of Maize Research (IIMR), PAU Campus, Ludhiana; has invited applications for 04 Positions of Young Professionals (YP) under ICAR-IIMR, Ludhiana project titled ‘Enhancement of maize production in catchment areas of ethanol industries’ on contractual basis and co-terminus with the project/scheme.

The Positions and eligibility are as follows: 

Young Professional-II at cluster of districts Moga, Faridkot, Jalandhar, Hoshiyarpur (Punjab):  Applicant should hold Master’s Degree in Agriculture or any branch of Sciences with experience of agriculture research/extension; Desirable: Experience of working with farmers, Proficiency in Punjabi and/or Hindi. 

Young Professional-II at cluster of districts Pratapgarh, Mandsaur, Banswara (Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan): Master degree in Agriculture or any branch of Sciences with experience of agriculture research/extension; Desirable: Experience of working with farmers, Proficiency in Hindi.

Young Professional-II at cluster of districts Guntur, Krishna, Khamam (Andhra Pradesh): Master degree in Agriculture or any branch of Sciences with experience of agriculture research/extension; Desirable: Experience of working with farmers, Proficiency in Telugu and/or Hindi.

Young Professional-II (IT) (based at ICAR-IIMR, Delhi Unit): M.Sc. degree in Computer Science/Computer Application/ Information Technology/ Artificial intelligence/ Operating systems/ Software engineering or Computer graphics from recognized university or Graduation in one of these subject with one-year experience; Desirable: Knowledge of mapping, database management, simple programming, data collection etc., Working knowledge of coral, graphics GIS software, etc. 

Age Limit: Up to 45 years. Age relaxation will be 5 years for SC/ST & women and 3 years for OBC as per GOI/ICAR guidelines.

Remuneration (Rs per month) will be Rs. 42000/- (Consolidated) 

There is one position under each category. The above positions are purely temporary and will be filled in on contractual basis. Duration of the appointment will be 12 months which may be extended or curtailed.

Date and Mode of interview: The interview will be held Online on 05th December, 2024. Time: 10 am onwards. 

Numbers of vacancies are tentative which can be increased or decreased. The posting place can be changed at various IIMR establishment/project areas as per the need of the project
