The Indian Navy has invited applications for admission to the 10+2 (B.Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme (Permanent Commission) for the January, 2025 session course at Indian Naval Academy (INA) Ezhimala, Kerala
There are 40 vacancies for Men and Women (maximum of 08 vacancies for women) in Executive & Technical Branches. The Branch allocation - Executive & Technical (Engineering & Electrical) will be undertaken at INA. Vacancies indicated are tentative and may be changed depending on availability of training slots.
Eligibility: (i) Applicants to be unmarried (ii) Applicant should be born between 02 July 2005 and 01 January 2008 (both dates inclusive) (iii) Educational Qualification- Applicant should have passed Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 Pattern)/equivalent examination from any recognised Board with at least 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and at least 50% marks in English (either in Class X or Class XII) (iv) Applicant should have appeared for JEE (Main) - 2024 (for B.E/ B. Tech) (v) Medical Standards/ Relaxation in Height and Weight/ Tattoo: All candidates recommended by SSB are required to undergo medical examination. Guidelines for this are available at www.joinindiannavy.gov.in. There is no relaxation in medical standards on any grounds.
Selection Procedure: Call up for Service Selection Board (SSB) will be issued based on JEE (Main) All India Common Rank List (CRL) - 2024 published by NTA. Naval Headquarters will fix the cut off for shortlisting of applications for SSB based on JEE (Main) All India Common Rank List (CRL) - 2024. All candidates are required to fill their Rank as per Common Rank List (CRL) in the application. Shortlisted candidates will be informed about their selection for SSB interview to be held at Bangalore/ Bhopal/ Kolkata/ Visakhapatnam from September 2024 onwards, through e-mail and SMS (provided by candidates in their application form). Candidates should not change email/ mobile number till selection process is over. Details of SSB procedure are available at www.joinindiannavy.gov.in.
Merit list: Merit list would be prepared based on SSB marks. Those declared fit in medical examination would be appointed subject to police verification and character verification & availability of vacancies in the entry.
Training: Selected candidates will be inducted as Cadets for the four years B. Tech Course in Applied Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electronics & Communication Engineering as per Naval requirements. On completion of the course, B. Tech Degree will be awarded by the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). Distribution of cadets amongst Executive and Technical Branch (Engineering & Electrical) will be as per the extant policy. The entire cost of training, including books and reading material, will be borne by the Indian Navy. The cadets will also be provided with entitled clothing and messing.
