It retains its practical 99.7cc engine, comfortable suspension, and features like a mobile charger and removable pillion seat

TVS Motor Company has launched a new variant of its popular XL100 Heavy Duty moped featuring alloy wheels for the first time in its history. The new TVS XL100 Heavy Duty Alloy comes equipped with 16-inch alloy wheels wrapped in tubeless tyres, enhancing both aesthetics and practical durability by reducing the risk of sudden punctures.
Key features
Besides alloy wheels, the XL100 Heavy Duty Alloy variant is also the only one in the lineup to sport an LED headlamp, which improves nighttime visibility and reduces battery load. New-age graphics, redesigned taillights, and an all-black muffler add a modern touch to the rugged design. The moped is offered in three appealing colours: Red, Blue, and Grey, with youthful graphics that enhance its street presence.
Mechanical and practical aspects
Mechanically, the moped retains the proven 99.7cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 4.3 horsepower and 6.5 Nm of torque. The powertrain comes with a single-speed transmission for ease of use. Suspension includes telescopic front forks and twin shock absorbers at the rear, providing a comfortable ride even on rough terrain. Drum brakes on both wheels ensure dependable stopping power. The model weighs around 89 kg and offers a payload capacity suitable for daily commuting and light commercial use.
Practical touches include a mobile charging port, a removable pillion seat for enhanced cargo capacity, and a large footboard for rider comfort.
Price details
The TVS XL100 Heavy Duty Alloy variant is priced at approximately Rs 59,800 (ex-showroom Delhi), making it the premium model in the lineup. For comparison, the base XL100 Heavy Duty with spoke wheels is priced around Rs 43,900 (ex-showroom). Other variants include:
