Google Pixel 10 series LAUNCHED: 100x zoom, magsafe-style charging, and 1st IP68 foldable
New York City: At its Made by Google event today, the company officially unveiled the much-anticipated Pixel 10 lineup. The series introduces four devices — Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold — finally putting months of leaks and speculation to rest with confirmed specs, pricing, and availability.
Pixel 10: Features and Specifications
The Pixel 10 brings the most upgrades in the lineup. It sports a 6.3-inch Full HD+ OLED panel with a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. Brightness now peaks at 3,000 nits, ensuring improved outdoor visibility.
Design-wise, it retains the familiar rounded edges and recycled spacecraft-grade aluminium build with an IP68 rating. The major new addition is PixelSnap, Google’s take on magnetic charging and accessory support via the Qi-2 standard, much like Apple’s MagSafe.
On the camera front, the base model now matches the Pro lineup with a triple-lens setup:
- 48 MP primary
- 13 MP ultrawide
- 10.8 MP 5x optical telephoto
The selfie shooter remains a 10.5 MP lens, carried over from last year.
Under the hood, the Pixel 10 runs on Google’s Tensor G5 chip, promising 25% faster CPU performance compared to the G4. It comes with 12 GB LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. Battery capacity has increased to 4,970 mAh, with 30W wired and 15W wireless charging.
Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL
The Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL feature QHD+ LTPO OLED displays with 120 Hz refresh rates, Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection, and up to 3,300 nits brightness. Screen sizes differ — 6.3 inches on the Pro and 6.8 inches on the Pro XL. Both also support PixelSnap magnetic charging.
The rear camera setup includes:
- 50 MP primary
- 48 MP ultrawide
- 48 MP telephoto with 5x optical zoom and up to 100x Pro Res Zoom
- The selfie camera, however, remains 42 MP on both models.
Performance comes via the Tensor G5, paired with 16 GB RAM and up to 1 TB of storage. Battery sizes vary: 4,870 mAh (Pro) and 5,200 mAh (Pro XL). The Pro XL supports faster 45W wired and 25W wireless charging, while the Pro is limited to 30W wired and 15W wireless.
Pixel 10 Pro Fold
The premium Pixel 10 Pro Fold boasts a 6.4-inch Actua OLED cover screen and an 8-inch Super Actua Flex LTPO OLED inner display, both 120 Hz and 3,000 nits bright.
It’s the first foldable phone to carry an IP68 rating, even ahead of Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7. The cameras are the same as the previous Pro Fold:
- 48 MP main
- 10.5 MP ultrawide
- 10.8 MP 5x telephoto
- 10 MP front + inner selfie cameras
It packs a 5,015 mAh battery with 30W wired and 15W wireless charging. Like the rest, it comes with Tensor G5, 16 GB RAM, and storage up to 1 TB.
Software and Updates
All four models ship with Android 16 and an extensive suite of Pixel AI features powered by Gemini. Google has also promised 7 years of major Android updates, extending the longevity of the devices.
Pricing and Availability
The Pixel 10 will be offered in Obsidian, Indigo, Frost, and Lemongrass, across two storage variants. The entire Pixel 10 series — along with accessories like the new Pixel Buds 2a and Pixel Watch 4 — will be available through the official Google Store.
