Moscow: Russia has called for restraint in nuclear-related statements after US President Donald Trump said he would order the deployment of two nuclear submarines following an online row with former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev.

The comment from the Kremlin came on Monday, following Trump’s announcement last week. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov addressed the issue stating, “Russia is very attentive to the topic of nuclear non-proliferation. And we believe that everyone should be very, very cautious with nuclear rhetoric.”

On Friday, Donald Trump said he had ordered the movement of two nuclear submarines in reaction to remarks made by Medvedev.
