Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed personal gratitude to US President Donald Trump on Sunday, following Trump’s latest social media criticism of Ukraine for showing “zero gratitude.”

In a post on X, Zelensky said, “Ukraine is grateful to the United States, to every American heart, and personally to President Trump for the assistance that — starting with the Javelins — has been saving Ukrainian lives.”

The statement came after Trump publicly criticised Kyiv, reigniting tensions over perceived appreciation for US support. Zelensky’s acknowledgement highlighted the ongoing significance of military aid in Ukraine’s defence.
