Two killed in motorcycle-car collision in Kottayam

Kottayam, Kerala: In a tragic accident in Kottayam, two young men were killed and another severely injured after their motorcycle collided with a car. The incident occurred late Thursday night in Thottakadu near Vaikom.

The deceased have been identified as Nidheesh (35) from Kudavechoor, Kottayam, and Akshay (19) from Poochakkal, Alappuzha. The accident took place around 10:30 pm when the motorcycle collided with a car travelling from Ernakulam towards Vechoor.

The collision resulted in the two riders falling onto the road, where they succumbed to their injuries on the spot. The third person involved in the crash is currently receiving treatment at a private hospital for serious injuries.

The bodies of the deceased were transferred to Kottayam Medical College Hospital for postmortem, as per police reports. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
