Thrissur police impose Kaapa, arrest notorious criminal 'Poombatta' Sini

Thrissur: Police arrested notorious criminal 'Poombatta' Sini (Sini Gopakumar) from her residence after imposing the Kerala Anti-Social Activities Prevention Act (Kaapa) on Friday. 

Sini is accused in several cases, including financial fraud, robbery, assault, and criminal intimidation. 

Based on a report filed by City Police Commissioner Ankit Asokan IPS, the district collector issued an order to impose Kaapa against Sini and sentence her to six months imprisonment.

Following this, a police team took Sini into custody from her residence in Ollur and recorded her arrest. According to police, more than 100 cheating cases are registered against Sini in various stations in the state. Police revealed that she often assembled goons under her by offering liquor and drugs. 

Though she was arrested and placed behind bars several times, she was never found guilty or punished in any case.
