Haripad: Union Minister Suresh Gopi faced an unexpected situation after the inauguration of an award ceremony at Mannarasala temple when he could not find his official vehicle to return. The upset minister, in a moment of improvisation, boarded an auto-rickshaw that had just arrived at the temple with passengers.

The incident occurred after the ceremony, which took place at 6:30 pm on Thursday. Following the inauguration, the minister visited the temple and participated in the ‘Mahadeepakaazhcha.’ However, when it was time to leave, he waited for some time, but the official vehicle did not show up.

With no other option, Suresh Gopi decided to hop into the auto-rickshaw, travelling approximately one and a half kilometres to the Hanumad Temple near the Subrahmanya Swami Temple. Just as he was making his way, the official vehicle and police team finally arrived at the spot. After this, the minister resumed his journey in the official car.

Meanwhile, a Seva Bharati service centre was set up on the premises of the Mannarasala temple, and the organisers had hoped to inaugurate it with the minister. However, he was not willing for the same and left the location.
