MGS Narayanan cremation by evening; Eminent figures pay final respects

Kozhikode: The cremation of renowned historian, writer and political commentator MGS Narayanan will take place at the Mavoor Road crematorium here at 4.30 pm on Saturday. He passed away on Saturday at the age of 92 following age-related ailments.
Several dignitaries visited his residence ‘Maitri’ at Malaparamba here to pay their final respects. Minister A K Saseendran, MLAs M K Muneer and K K Rema, historian Raghava Warrier, IUML leader Sadiq Ali Thangal, BJP state president Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Kozhikode MP M K Raghavan, former Mayor Thottathil Ravindran and archaeologist K K Mohammed were among those who paid homage.
Kozhikode MP M K Raghavan posted on X, stating, "Despite his age, he remained a strong voice for the development of Kozhikode."
MGS Narayanan, a former chairman of the Indian Council of Historical Research (ICHR), leaves behind a profound legacy in academic research, historical writing and public life.
