It is a paddy land - DYFI

DYFI informed that the house was being constructed on a paddy field and is a water stagnant place. That is why we stopped the construction, said Kanhangad block president Vipin Kattadi. The native people are very concerned about this and have lodged a complaint to the panchayat. However, destroying the foundation of the house was not done by DYFI workers, Vipin told Mathrubhumi.

Ajanur Grama panchayat vice president and CPM leader K Sajeesh said that the land was not included in the data bank and approval was given as the owner had only 10 cents of land. He also added that further inspection will be conducted as a complaint has been lodged even by the DYFI.
