"Why is Modi fond of Israel?" asks KC Venugopal during Congress's Palestine Solidarity Rally

Kozhikode: Congress in Kerala has expressed solidarity with the people of Palestine amid the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict in Gaza Strip. 

Speaking at the massive Palestine Solidarity Rally organised by Congress in Kozhikode on Thursday, Congress General Secretary (Organisation) K C Venugopal called for talks to free Palestine.

"Our (Congress) resolution says that we are with Palestine. We need to support the negotiations to free Palestine. India did not vote on the UN resolution for a truce that could lead to a ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas war...," said KC Venugopal MP after inaugurating the event in the presence of senior Congress leaders. 

"Narendra Modi expressed his support for Israel even before America. Why is Modi so fond of Israel?... Netanyahu and Modi are the same kind of people. One advocates racism, and the other Zionism," he added.
