Young woman injured during CJP protest on ventilator at RML Hospital: Reports

New Delhi: A young woman who was injured during the police action at the Cockroach Janta Party's (CJP) 'Chalo Sansad' protest in Delhi is on ventilator support at the Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital,PTI reported citing sources, on Tuesday, as Union Health Minister J P Nadda visited hospitals to review the condition of injured protesters.

The woman sustained injuries during Monday's protest, which turned violent as thousands of demonstrators marched towards Parliament demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged examination irregularities.

"A young woman injured in police action during CJP protest is on ventilator in RML," the sources said without providing further details.

According to Delhi Police, more than 118 police personnel and around 60 protesters were injured during the clashes on Monday.

The protest, organised by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), saw thousands of supporters attempting to march towards Parliament over the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak and other examination-related issues.

Meanwhile, Union Health Minister J P Nadda visited the Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital and Lady Hardinge Hospital on Tuesday to review the medical care being provided to the injured protesters.

Sources said the minister met hospital officials and enquired about the condition of the injured students.

Hospital authorities briefed Nadda on the status of those admitted, informing him that all injured protesters were under medical supervision and receiving the necessary treatment.

The hospital visits came a day after the protest escalated into violence, triggering a political row over the police action and injuries sustained by both protesters and security personnel.
