Bomb scares in Murshidabad and Nandigram ahead of Suvendu Adhikari swearing-in: Report

Kolkata: Tension in West Bengal is reportedly rising after multiple incidents involving crude bombs were reported from different locations in the state.

In Murshidabad, police reportedly recovered around 30 fresh crude bombs after an explosion incident in Khadera village left a youth injured. According to local reports, officials from Salar police station recovered the explosives from the house of injured youth Ramjan Sheikh during a search operation linked to the blast investigation.

Bomb disposal teams were reportedly deployed to safely remove the explosives, while police launched further investigation into the source and storage of the bombs.

Meanwhile, separate reports from Nandigram claimed that a live bomb was found inside a bucket in Khajuri village ahead of a swearing-in-related event, prompting another security response.

Police are continuing investigations into both incidents, while security monitoring has reportedly been increased in sensitive areas.
