‘I am blessed to have parents like them,’ Rohini Acharya on Yadav family turmoil | VIDEO

Bihar: Former RJD leader Rohini Acharya has once again spoken out about her ongoing family and political disputes. She clarified that her conflict is solely with her brother Tejashwi Yadav and his close aides, and not with her parents or sisters.
Speaking to reporters, Rohini said, “I have not lied about anything that happened. You may go and ask all of this to Tejashwi Yadav, Sanjay Yadav, Rachel Yadav, and Rameez.”
She emphasised the support she continues to receive from her family. “My father has always stood by me. My parents and sisters were crying for me yesterday. I am blessed to have parents like them. In a family where there are brothers, only they should be making sacrifices for the family. Why should daughters make a sacrifice, and when they ask questions, silence them by saying ‘you are married, go to your in-laws’ house.’ I have just disowned my brother. My parents and my sisters are with me,” Rohini added.
Exhausted and partially losing her voice due to constant crying, Rohini revealed that she plans to leave for Mumbai to stay with her in-laws. “My mother-in-law is extremely worried about me after all this, and she has called me back. I am going to my mother-in-law’s house,” she said.
The former RJD leader also reiterated allegations she made earlier about verbal and physical abuse by her brother and his associates. “They called me dirty, abused me, and even hit me with a slipper,” she said.
This family conflict unfolds amid political turmoil for the RJD, which suffered a severe setback in the recent Bihar Assembly elections, winning only 25 of the 243 seats, down from its previous 70-plus tally.
Rohini’s public distancing from Tejashwi and her exit from politics have sparked speculation about internal disputes within the party.
Tej Pratap Yadav, elder son of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, who was expelled from the party a few months ago, has also been critical of Sanjay Yadav, whom he often calls ‘Jaichand,’ blaming him for the troubles in the party and family.
The developments have brought the Yadav family’s personal and political dynamics under the spotlight, raising questions about the future direction of the RJD in Bihar.
