Siya Goyal taken to alleged 'murder rehearsal' spot as Pune probe intensifies | VIDEO

Pune: Police investigating the alleged murder of a Pune realtor on Thursday took the prime accused, 20-year-old Siya Goyal, to a location where she and her alleged lover are believed to have rehearsed pushing the victim off a cliff before the crime.
Investigators said Goyal was taken to an open space near a club in Lullanagar, where she allegedly identified the spot where she and co-accused Chetan Chaudhary had practised how to push her fiancé, Ketan Agarwal, from a cliff at Lohagad Fort.
Police also recovered the clothes Goyal is alleged to have worn on 18 June, the day Agarwal died, during a search of her residence in Pune's Market Yard area.
Goyal and Chaudhary, 22, were arrested in connection with the death of 25-year-old Agarwal, who was allegedly pushed off a cliff at Lohagad Fort in Pune district on 18 June. The couple were due to marry in November. Both accused remain in police custody until 3 July.
According to Pune Rural Police, the investigation suggests that Agarwal was allegedly killed because he had become an obstacle to Goyal and Chaudhary's relationship
On Wednesday, police recreated the crime scene with Chaudhary as part of the investigation. A similar reconstruction was carried out with Goyal on Sunday, during which officers used a dummy to recreate the alleged fall from the cliff.
Police said the victim's father, Vishal Agarwal, stated in his complaint that Ketan had repeatedly expressed concern over Goyal's closeness to Chaudhary, claiming she frequently mentioned him during their conversations.
Investigators also alleged that Goyal had earlier sabotaged the couple's planned pre-wedding holiday to Bali, Indonesia, a detail they believe forms part of the wider investigation into the case.
