'Don't let my son's case become just another file': Ketan Agarwal's father writes to President Murmu

The family of Ketan Agarwal, who was allegedly murdered near Pune's Lohagad Fort, has appealed to President Droupadi Murmu for swift legal action, urging that the case be transferred to a fast-track court to ensure justice is delivered without delay.
In an email addressed to the President's secretary, Ketan's father, Vishal Agarwal, said the family was not asking for preferential treatment but only for timely justice. He described the emotional and personal devastation caused by the incident, saying the loss extended beyond his son.
Calling it the darkest phase of his life, Vishal wrote that he was reaching out not as a businessman or a person of influence, but simply as a grieving father hoping that the justice system would act quickly.
According to the letter, the family's suffering deepened soon after Ketan's death. Vishal said his own father, who shared a close bond with his grandson, was unable to cope with the tragedy and died just 20 days later.
He said the family had lost two generations within a matter of weeks, leaving them emotionally shattered. The appeal stressed that prolonged legal proceedings only deepen the pain of victims' families and requested that the trial be conducted on priority.
Vishal also urged authorities to ensure that those responsible face the strongest punishment permitted under law if found guilty. He appealed to the President to personally intervene so that the case does not get delayed in the judicial process.
In his message, he said he hoped the case would not become "just another file," reminding authorities that behind every criminal investigation is a family struggling to cope with an irreversible loss.
