8-year-old girl sets Guinness World Record with incredible 16 cm limbo skate
Eight-year-old Takshvi Harnil Vaghani from Ahmedabad has created history in limbo skating by setting a new Guinness World Record with a breathtaking 16-centimetre glide under a low bar. The young athlete improved her previous record of 16.2 centimetres, pushing the limits of precision skating and flexibility.
Takshvi began skating at the age of four after exploring different activities during the COVID period. What started as a childhood interest soon turned into dedicated training and a record-breaking journey.
Limbo skating demands exceptional control, balance and body flexibility, with skaters required to glide beneath extremely low obstacles without losing momentum.
Her father said the family was initially amazed by the record challenge and gradually introduced stretching and regular practice sessions. Over time, Takshvi consistently improved and eventually mastered the historic 16 cm glide.
