Maa Dewri Dham, the revered 700-year-old Shakti Peeth located in Jharkhand's Ranchi district, is set for a major transformation under an ₹8.40 crore government redevelopment project. Dedicated to Goddess Bhagwati in her rare 16-armed form, the temple attracts lakhs of devotees every year, especially during Navratri and Ram Navami. The initiative aims to strengthen religious tourism while preserving the shrine's rich spiritual heritage.

The redevelopment includes permanent shops, a marriage hall, a dharamshala and improved facilities for pilgrims. Temple authorities say the project will significantly enhance the experience for devotees visiting the sacred site.

For generations, Maa Dewri Dham has remained a symbol of faith, with devotees believing the Goddess fulfils prayers and blesses her followers. The temple also supports the livelihoods of local priests, photographers and vendors. As development progresses, the historic shrine is poised to emerge as one of Jharkhand's leading religious tourism destinations.
