Actor-politician Kangana Ranaut revisited her memories of the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks during the trailer launch of Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata, a film inspired by the real-life courage of nurses and ward boys during the 26/11 attacks. Ranaut revealed she was attending a party with fellow actors and filmmakers when director Mahesh Bhatt informed them about the terror strikes and advised everyone to stay indoors.

The film is largely set inside Mumbai’s Cama Hospital and highlights the extraordinary bravery of healthcare workers who protected lives amid the chaos. Co-star Girija Oak also recalled learning about the attacks while attending a film premiere.

Ranaut said portraying a nurse opened her eyes to the struggles and strength of ordinary working people, calling the experience deeply moving. Directed by Manoj Tapadia, the film celebrates unsung heroes of 26/11 and is scheduled for a nationwide theatrical release on June 12.
