Is Trisha Krishnan quitting cinema? Internet speculation grows

Fresh rumours have placed Trisha Krishnan back in the headlines, with speculation ranging from a possible exit from cinema to continued chatter about her alleged link-up with Vijay.

While there has been no official confirmation from the actor herself, reports claim that she has not taken up any new projects in recent times.

According to actor and journalist Chithra Lakshmanan, several producers have indicated that Trisha might be planning to move away from acting. 

At present, these claims remain unverified, as Trisha has not issued any statement addressing the rumours.

Social media post adds to speculation

The ongoing buzz gained further momentum after Trisha shared a cryptic message on social media. She posted an image carrying the words, “Love is not everything and yet everything is meaningless without love.”

The post quickly drew attention online, with many linking it to the ongoing discussion around her personal life.

Rumours around Vijay 

Trisha and Vijay have been in the spotlight amid reports suggesting that they have been spending time together. The speculation intensified following claims that Vijay’s wife, Sangeetha Sornalingam, had allegedly filed for divorce. However, there has been no official confirmation regarding this either.

Adding to media reports, the two actors were recently seen arriving together at a wedding in coordinated outfits and later leaving the venue together. The sighting further fuelled rumours. When approached by the media, Trisha chose not to comment on the matter.

On the work front, she is set to star alongside Suriya in the upcoming fantasy action film ‘Karuppu’, directed by RJ Balaji. The movie is currently scheduled for a theatrical release on 14 May 2026.

In addition, she is part of Chiranjeevi’s ‘Vishwambhara’ and has also worked on Mohanlal’s long-delayed project ‘Ram’.
