‘Desperate people…’: Raj Nidimoru’s ex-wife’s cryptic post resurfaces just as Samantha shares wedding pics

Samantha Ruth Prabhu and filmmaker Raj Nidimoru have married at the Isha Yoga Centre in Coimbatore, bringing an end to months of speculation about their relationship. The couple confirmed the news by sharing their first wedding photographs on social media, revealing an intimate ceremony attended only by close friends.

The wedding came shortly after Raj’s former wife, Shhyamali De, posted a cryptic Instagram Story that read, “Desperate people do desperate things.” Although she did not name anyone, the timing of the message prompted widespread discussion online, given the ongoing rumours about Samantha and Raj.

Speculation about the ceremony had intensified over the past week, fuelled by online posts claiming the wedding would take place at the Isha Centre. Neither Samantha nor Raj commented publicly until their photographs appeared, confirming the private event.

In the images shared online, Samantha is seen wearing a red saree with intricate zari embroidery and traditional gold jewellery. Raj is dressed in a white kurta set paired with a beige Nehru jacket. The couple also exchanged rings before the ceremony, with Samantha displaying her wedding ring in one of the pictures.

Rumours about their relationship had been circulating since early 2024. Last month, Samantha appeared to hint at their bond when she posted a photograph of the two embracing. Their association began professionally with The Family Man Season 2 in 2021, where Samantha’s performance received significant acclaim. They later worked together on Citadel: Honey Bunny, which kept them in public focus.

Earlier this year, the pair drew further attention when they were seen together at the World Pickleball League, where Samantha and Raj were seated next to each other while cheering for her team, the Chennai Super Champs.

This marriage marks the second for both. Samantha was previously married to actor Naga Chaitanya, with the couple parting ways in 2021. Raj was earlier married to Shhyamali De, with reports indicating their separation in 2022.

The wedding at the Isha Yoga Centre on 1 December 2025 formally confirms their relationship after months of public curiosity and online speculation.
