Kochi: Telugu actor Raj Tirandasu, widely known for his intense performance as Mogileesu in Pushpa: The Rise, is set to take on a lead role in the upcoming high-octane action thriller Kattalan. The film is being produced by Cubes Entertainments, following their recent success Marco, and is helmed by debutant director Paul George.

Raj Tirandasu joins Antony Varghese, who headlines the film, in a powerful dual-lead setup that promises to elevate the action and drama of this pan-Indian production. The makers officially announced Raj’s inclusion by unveiling a striking poster with the tagline: “Raj Tirandasu joins the hunt.”

Known for portraying rugged, high-intensity characters, Raj has made his mark in films like Butta Bomma, Bhuvana Vijayam, Chakravyuham: The Trap, Prema Vimanam, Bhagavanth Kesari, Michael, Tillu Square, and the blockbuster Pushpa. His presence in Kattalan signals a major expansion of his career into Malayalam cinema.

Rajisha Vijayan stars as the female lead alongside Antony Varghese and Raj. The cast also includes popular pan-India actors like Sunil, Kabir Duhan Singh, Malayalam veterans Jagadish and Siddique, and rapper Baby Jean. Character reveal posters from the film have already created buzz across social media platforms.

World-class action sequences are a highlight of Kattalan, choreographed by the internationally acclaimed Kecha Khamphakdee, known for Ong-Bak 2, Baahubali 2, Jawan, and Ponniyin Selvan: Part I.

The film’s music is by Kannada sensation B. Ajaneesh Loknath, the composer behind Kantara, while dialogues are written by Unni R. Cinematography is by Renadive, and Shameer Muhammed handles editing.
