'Punch dialogues' are reserved for superstars, not for everyone: Dulquer Salmaan

Actor Dulquer Salmaan has sparked a conversation on social media with his recent comments about ‘punch dialogues’ in Malayalam films. During an interview on the YouTube channel FTQ with Rekha Menon, he shared his views on the use of such dialogues in the industry.

“Punch dialogues are less in Malayalam films. We have given the right and permission to speak punch dialogues only to big superstars. If we say that, we are likely to hear that we have not yet reached that level. It may take a while longer to say such dialogues,” said Dulquer

Dulquer is set to star in the pan-Indian Telugu film Lucky Bhaskar, which will be released on October 31st, coinciding with Diwali. The film is written and directed by Venky Atluri and will be distributed by Dulquer's own Wayfarer Films in Kerala and the Gulf. Lucky Bhaskar features Meenakshi Choudhary as the female lead and marks Dulquer's return to hero role after more than 400 days.
