Namrata Shirodkar’s Diwali post goes viral; fans ask, ‘Where is Mahesh Babu?’

Namrata Shirodkar, former actress and wife of Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu, gave fans a peek into her Diwali celebrations this year. Taking to Instagram, she shared photos from a star-studded Diwali party hosted by Jhansi Sureddi, which she attended with her daughter Sitara Ghattamaneni and sister Shilpa Shirodkar.

Namrata looked elegant in a pink ethnic outfit, while Sitara glowed in a golden-yellow lehenga. The pictures captured warm family moments as Namrata and Shilpa posed together, radiating festive cheer. “An evening filled with warmth, lights, and wonderful people... Truly unforgettable #DiwaliNights... Thank you for having us @jhansisureddi,” Namrata wrote in her post.

However, her followers were quick to notice Mahesh Babu’s absence from the festivities. The comments section was filled with fans asking, “Where is our star?” and “Where is Babu?”, curious about why the actor skipped the event.

Mahesh Babu is currently preparing for his next major project, tentatively titled SSMB29, directed by SS Rajamouli. The film, described as a globe-trotting jungle adventure, marks one of the most anticipated collaborations in Indian cinema. Reports suggest that the film’s title announcement is expected in November 2025. Actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas is set to star alongside Mahesh in the film.

Meanwhile, Namrata’s sister Shilpa Shirodkar was also in the spotlight this week after reuniting with her Khuda Gawah co-star Nagarjuna Akkineni on Bigg Boss Telugu 9. The actress called the moment “full circle”, recalling their work together in the 1992 classic starring Amitabh Bachchan and Sridevi.

Shilpa, along with Sonakshi Sinha and Sudheer Babu, appeared on the Diwali special episode of Bigg Boss Telugu 9 to promote their upcoming film Jatadhara. In a viral promo, Nagarjuna warmly greeted Shilpa, saying, “She was my heroine a long time ago.” Shilpa later shared the clip on her Instagram story, expressing gratitude for the reunion: “WOW! Life comes full circle. I couldn’t have had a more beautiful reunion with Nagarjuna garu, and that too on my favourite stage.”

Jatadhara, a bilingual supernatural fantasy thriller, stars Sonakshi Sinha and Sudheer Babu in lead roles, with Shilpa Shirodkar, Divya Khossla, Indira Krishna, and others in pivotal parts. Presented by Zee Studios and Prerna Arora, the film releases in Hindi and Telugu on 7 November 2025.

Mahesh Babu had recently unveiled the trailer of Jatadhara online, with Namrata cheering for her sister’s comeback. While Mahesh’s absence from the Diwali celebrations sparked fan curiosity, it appears the actor is fully immersed in his professional commitments ahead of his next cinematic venture.
