Superstar Mohanlal took to social media to extend a touching congratulatory message to Mammootty, who won Best Actor at the 55th Kerala State Film Awards. “Special love to my Ichakka for winning Best Actor,” Mohanlal posted on his X.

Mammootty’s remarkable portrayal in "Bramayugam" earned him the top acting honour this year, adding another feather to his illustrious career and setting a new record with his seventh win in the category. Mohanlal also extended warm congratulations to all the winners of the Kerala State Film Awards, including Asif Ali, Tovino Thomas, Jyothirmayi, and Darshana Rajendran, for their exceptional performances this year.'

The announcement ceremony, overseen by Kerala’s Minister for Culture and Films Saji Cherian and a jury chaired by veteran actor Prakash Raj, brought recognition to several outstanding talents and films. "Manjummel Boys" emerged as the Best Film, also earning Chidambaram the Best Director honour. Shamla Hamza was recognised as Best Actress for her powerful performance in "Feminichi Fathima".
