Mammootty celebrates new year on the sets of ‘Patriot’; cuts cake | WATCH

Malayalam cinema legends Mammootty and Mohanlal are teaming up once again in the upcoming multi-starrer ‘Patriot’, directed by Mahesh Narayanan. The film’s cast and crew celebrated the New Year on set, with Mammootty joining director Mahesh Narayanan and producer Anto Joseph to cut a cake as part of the festivities.

‘Patriot’ is in its final phase of shooting and is slated for a global release this Vishu. Alongside Mammootty and Mohanlal, the film features Fahadh Faasil, Kunchacko Boban, Nayanthara, and Revathi in key roles.

‘Patriot’ is produced under the banners of Anto Joseph Film Company and Kichappus Entertainments, with Anto Joseph and K.G. Anil Kumar serving as the main producers. The film’s co-producers include C.R. Salim and Subhash George Manuel, while C.V. Sarathi and Rajesh Krishna oversee the project as executive producers. This collaboration brings together some of the most experienced names in Malayalam cinema, reflecting the film’s ambitious scale and international vision.

The story and screenplay are penned by Mahesh Narayanan, with filming completed across locations in Sri Lanka, Azerbaijan, Delhi, Sharjah, Kerala, Ladakh, Hyderabad, and the UK. Early teasers suggest a high-octane international spy thriller, highlighting spectacular action sequences featuring Mammootty and Mohanlal.

The film also stars theatre artist and director Prakash Belawadi, along with Jinu Joseph, Rajeev Menon, Danish Husain, Shaheen Siddique, Sanal Aman, and Darshana Rajendran. Truth Global Films will handle the overseas distribution.
