‘This thing can fly?’ Kalyani Priyadarshan owns the trailer of Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra | WATCH

The trailer of ‘Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra’, starring Kalyani Priyadarshan and Naslen, is out, setting the stage for an Onam release.

The trailer begins in a battlefield filled with fire and gunshots before moving indoors, where Kalyani’s character hides in the shadows. The scene soon shifts to a dystopian setting where she questions Nishanth Sagar about why she has been called.

The teaser switches between mystical and futuristic worlds.

The video also brings in Naslen, Arun Kurian and Chandu Salimkumar, while Tamil actor-choreographer Sandy appears in his Malayalam debut as a police officer.

The action soon picks up, with Kalyani leading fast-paced fight sequences. A lighter exchange follows when Chandu’s character questions Naslen if she really has the power to fly.The trailer continues to jump between ancient and dystopian backdrops.

The closing moments reveal a mysterious hand holding a mythical staff, hinting at a major cameo. The overall tone suggests a fantasy entertainer that merges legend with dystopia, a style rarely seen in Malayalam cinema.

Produced by Dulquer Salmaan under Wayfarer Films, ‘Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra’ is set for a global release on 28 August, clashing with Mohanlal’s ‘Hridayapoorvam’. 

The fantasy drama is written and directed by Tharangam filmmaker Dominic Arun, with actor Santhy Balachandran also contributing as additional screenplay writer.
