Kochi: Kalyani Priyadarshan’s superhero spectacle Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra is gearing up for its digital debut after an exceptional seven-week theatrical run.

Directed by Dominic Arun and produced by Dulquer Salmaan’s Wayfarer Films, the visually striking Malayalam-language fantasy-action film released on August 28, 2025, and went on to become a milestone in Indian cinema. According to multiple reports, the film is expected to premiere on JioHotstar on October 20, though the makers have not yet made an official announcement.

The film grossed over ₹300 crore worldwide, becoming the first Malayalam movie to achieve this landmark and earning the rare distinction of being an “All-Time Blockbuster.” Its extended theatrical run—uncommon in the current regional film landscape—highlighted the movie’s sustained box office strength and mass appeal.
