Thalapathy Vijay's final film gets official title, first look

Mumbai: Thalapathy Vijay’s highly anticipated film, Thalapathy 69, has officially received its title: Jana Nayagan. The film, directed by H Vinoth, marks a crucial chapter in Vijay’s illustrious career, and the excitement surrounding it has already begun to heat up, especially with the release of the first-look poster.
The striking first-look poster of Jana Nayagan showcases Thalapathy Vijay standing tall on an elevated platform, taking a selfie with a massive crowd of enthusiastic fans. The image perfectly encapsulates the superstar’s strong connection with his loyal supporters, a theme central to the film.

Meaning behind the title
The title Jana Nayagan translates to 'The People's Leader' – a fitting tribute to Vijay’s status as a beloved figure in the Tamil film industry. Over the years, he has garnered immense admiration from his fans, and this film is expected to reflect his larger-than-life persona.
In this final project, Thalapathy Vijay will be sharing screen space with Pooja Hegde, who returns to collaborate with the Tamil superstar after their previous film, Beast (2022). The film will also feature an ensemble cast, including Bobby Deol, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Narain, Priyamani, Mamitha Baiju, Monisha Blessy, and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, among others.
Jana Nayagan is being produced by Venkat K Narayana under the banner of KVN Productions, with Anirudh Ravichander composing the film’s music. Pradeep E. Ragav is handling the editing, while Sathyan Sooryan is in charge of the cinematography.

Scheduled for release on 17 October 2025, Jana Nayagan is expected to be Vijay’s last film before he takes a major step into politics. This has added even more significance to the film, as fans eagerly await what could be a major turning point in his career.
Vijay was last seen in The Greatest of All Time, directed by Venkat Prabhu. The film was a massive success and became one of the highest-grossing films of 2024.
