In a past interview with Vijay TV, Tamil actor Nayanthara had addressed long-standing rumours about her relationships with fellow actors, including the supposed rivalry with Trisha Krishnan and other industry peers.

Nayanthara dismissed the speculations, clarifying that she maintains professional relationships with most of her colleagues. When asked about her limited interactions with the media, she explained, "I’m not fond of giving interviews because I believe they’re only necessary when there’s something important to discuss, like a film release or a specific issue that needs clarification. Otherwise, what new can I talk about?"

Speaking about her alleged fallout with actor Namitha while filming Billa, Nayanthara admitted that there was no initial conflict. "We used to talk normally in the beginning, but suddenly one day, she stopped talking to me. It wasn’t due to any argument; it just happened. She would greet everyone else but ignore me. It felt unpleasant, but if she had an issue, that’s her problem," she said.

Regarding her relationship with Trisha, Nayanthara was straightforward: "The word 'friendship' is often overused. I’m not friends with Trisha; we are acquaintances. There is still a prevailing notion that women can’t get along with each other, but that is not necessarily true. Honestly, I have no issues with her or anyone else," she stated.

She further dismissed media reports about a supposed rivalry with Trisha: "I’ve seen articles about our competition, but there was never any such thing. There’s nothing worth reporting. If someone doesn’t like me, that’s fine—I don’t have to like them either. That’s all," Nayanthara concluded.

Her candid remarks reflect a no-nonsense attitude towards industry gossip and underline the importance of focusing on oneself. (With inputs from Agencies)
