Pranav Mohanlal, known for his love of travel, often shares glimpses of his journeys with fans. He posts pictures, notes, and poems about the places he visits through his Instagram account. Pranav, who takes on film projects in between his travels, is frequently asked by fans where he is at the moment. In a recent interview on Rekha Menon’s YouTube channel, FTQ with Rekha Menon, Pranav’s mother, Suchitra Mohanlal, revealed that her son is currently in Spain. She mentioned that Pranav is spending time on a farm, or something similar.

“Appu is in Spain now. He’s working on some farm or something. I don’t know the details exactly, but he went there to work. There’s no money involved—only accommodation and food. Sometimes, the work involves looking after horses or lambs. It’s an experience,” said Suchitra. “Sometimes, he shares stories when he comes back from his travels.” Suchitra also shared a unique side of her son, saying that Pranav is in a unique, excited state of mind that no one sees when he tells stories.

She went on to say, "I have no wish for Pranav to do any of Mohanlal's films. If I express such a wish, people will compare them, or judge them both. So, I have no such desire." She also said that Pranav is not stubborn about anything. "However, even if I tell him to do this or that, he will do as per his own wish. It’s the same with the choice of films. I like to listen to stories, so I sit and listen. But the decision is Appu’s. He does one film every two years. I ask him to do at least two films per year. He tells me that there are other things to consider. Sometimes I don't feel right about the things he says. But when I think about it, I realise he’s trying to balance everything,” said Suchitra.

On a lighter note, Suchitra mentioned that many people believe Pranav listens to her because he’s ‘his mother’s son,’ but in reality, even if she tells him something, he doesn’t always listen. She shared some family dynamics as well: “Appu’s favourite food is chapati and beef fry. Maya loves everything from Erissery. Maya and I are the ones who mostly fight. Our case is like saying, ‘If there is harmony, then there is conflict.’ We are great when we’re outside India or Chennai. But after we return home, the fights start. Fathers and kids are very close in their own way. They have their moments,” Suchitra concluded.
