Dhurandhar’s box office rampage continues; sets sights on Pathaan, Kalki 2898 AD

Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar may have eased its pace at the box office, but the film continues to script history with every passing day. The Ranveer Singh-led spectacle has officially stormed into the elite ₹1000-crore club worldwide and is now fast approaching the lifetime collections of some of Indian cinema’s biggest blockbusters like Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan and Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD.
Day 22 Box Office Report
According to Jio Studios, Dhurandhar crossed the ₹1000-crore milestone globally on Thursday, though trade estimates place the achievement a day later, on Friday. Regardless of the exact date, the film has emerged as a landmark success—becoming only the ninth Indian film overall and the fourth from Bollywood to breach the coveted figure. It is the only Bollywood film in the ₹1000-crore club without a Khan in the lead.
By Friday night, the film had amassed ₹648.50 crore net in India, translating to a gross of ₹778 crore. With this, Dhurandhar has overtaken Jawan (₹640 crore net) to become the highest-grossing Bollywood film ever in the domestic market.
Strong Overseas Momentum
Internationally, the film has witnessed a steady surge over the past fortnight, collecting over $25 million from overseas territories in just 22 days. This pushes its total worldwide collections to ₹1003 crore, while the makers peg the figure slightly higher at around ₹1020 crore.
Chasing All-Time Records
With the weekend ahead, Dhurandhar is poised to surpass the lifetime collections of Kalki 2898 AD (₹1042 crore) and Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan (₹1056 crore), potentially emerging as the seventh-highest-grossing Indian film of all time.
The film’s next major target is Jawan’s global haul of ₹1160 crore, which it could challenge before its theatrical run concludes. However, overtaking mega-grossers like KGF: Chapter 2 and RRR, both of which crossed the ₹1200-crore mark, may remain a tough ask.
