Dhurandhar OTT release date announced; Ranveer Singh film to stream on Netflix this day

Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar, continues to draw attention weeks after its theatrical release, having become the highest-grossing Hindi film in India. The film, starring Ranveer Singh as spy Hamza Ali Mazari, received strong audience response, prompting multiple repeat viewings in theatres.
The makers have now confirmed that Dhurandhar will be available for streaming on Netflix from January 30, 2026. Netflix acquired the digital rights for both Dhurandhar and its upcoming sequel, Dhurandhar 2, in a combined deal worth Rs 130 crore — one of the largest OTT deals for a Hindi film.
About Dhurandhar: Set against a Pakistani backdrop, the film explores terror networks operating out of Lyari. Ranveer Singh plays Hamza Ali Mazari, whose true identity is revealed to be Jaskirat Singh Rangi. The film also features Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, Sara Arjun, and Akshaye Khanna in pivotal roles. Dhurandhar was produced by Jyoti Deshpande’s Jio Studios and Aditya and Lokesh Dhar’s B62 Studios.
About Dhurandhar 2: The sequel, titled Dhurandhar: The Revenge, is scheduled for a theatrical release on March 19, 2026. It will explore Hamza Ali Mazari’s rise in Lyari and include flashbacks revealing Rehman Dakait’s past. The teaser for Dhurandhar 2, certified ‘A’ by the CBFC, will release in theatres on January 23 alongside the film Border 2.
OTT deal details: Reports suggest Netflix paid Rs 130 crore for the rights to both films, roughly Rs 65 crore per part. This marks Ranveer Singh’s biggest OTT deal to date and highlights the growing value of successful Hindi franchises on streaming platforms.
Box office success: Released on December 5, 2025, Dhurandhar quickly crossed major box office milestones, entering the 1000 crore club, and continues to run successfully in theatres even after a month.
