Ranveer Singh-starrer Dhurandhar has emerged as the highest-grossing Indian film in the United States, earning over $21 million at the North American box office and surpassing a nine-year-old record held by SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Conclusion.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, the spy thriller has been on a record-breaking run since its release nearly six weeks ago. The film is currently nearing ₹1300 crore in worldwide gross collections and has already established itself as the highest-grossing Hindi film in India, with over ₹800 crore net and close to ₹1000 crore gross domestically.

According to trade sources, Dhurandhar crossed the $21 million gross mark in the US and Canada by Tuesday, overtaking Baahubali 2, which had collected $20.7 million in North America in 2017. The achievement makes Dhurandhar the biggest Indian box office success ever in the region.

The film’s overseas total now stands at approximately $32 million, despite limited or no release in parts of the Middle East. Its strong international performance has been driven largely by its exceptional run in North America, where it has consistently drawn audiences weeks after release.

In the United States, Dhurandhar has overtaken several major Indian blockbusters, including Kalki 2898 AD ($18.5 million), Pathaan ($17.5 million), Jawan ($15.6 million), RRR ($15.3 million), Pushpa 2 ($15.3 million), Animal ($14 million) and Dangal ($12.4 million).

The film has also emerged as the highest-grossing Indian film in Australia and currently ranks 13th on the all-time list of highest-grossing Indian films overseas, further underlining its historic global box office run.
