'Just shocked': De-aged look of actor Vijay in GOAT trailer stuns fans

In a surprise for actor Vijay's fans, the makers released the much-anticipated trailer for Thalapathy's upcoming movie, 'The Greatest of All Time' (GOAT), on Saturday. Packed with adrenaline-pumping action sequences, the trailer also showcases Vijay's character at various ages. The well-edited trailer has been praised on social media, with many users applauding the de-ageing technology that effectively makes the 50-year-old actor appear younger.

"GOAT De-ageing looks has come out really well. Brilliantly made Child, Teen, Young, and Old Get ready to witness something epic on September 5!" wrote a user on X. Another user wrote, "No one. Meanwhile, the action-packed trailer suggests that the actor plays both father and son in the film. The 2-minute-51-second video features Vijay as a hostage negotiator, field agent, and spy, highlighting his successful track record of 68 operations.

On the occasion of Independence Day, makers took to their Instagram to share a new poster along with the trailer release date announcement.

The new poster shows Vijay in his action avatar with a gun in his hand. He is seen shooting goons in a subway or metro station.

Produced by AGS Entertainment, 'GOAT' is produced on a massive budget by AGS Entertainment by Kalpathi S Aghoram, Kalpathi S Ganesh, and Kalpathi S Suresh. The film has music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja and cinematography by Siddhartha Nuni.

Venkat Prabhu has directed the film. 'GOAT' is tipped to be a period science fiction film. The ensemble cast, including Prashanth, Prabhudheva, Sneha, Ajmal Ameer, Vaibhav, Laila, Mohan, Aravind Akash, and Ajay Raj, will take on the roles of hero and villain.
