Mumbai: Ending months of intense speculation and social media chatter, popular television stars Mahhi Vij and Jay Bhanushali have officially announced their separation, choosing dignity, peace, and mutual respect over public drama.

The couple shared identical statements on their respective Instagram stories, confirming that they have decided to part ways after nearly 15 years together. In a deeply personal yet composed note, the duo wrote, “Today, we choose to part ways on a journey called life, yet we continue to have each other’s back.” They emphasised that peace, growth, kindness, and humanity have always been their guiding values. Addressing the inevitable speculation around their decision, the duo made it clear that their separation does not stem from bitterness or conflict. “Though we walk separate paths, there is no villain in this story and no negativity attached to this decision,” the statement read, adding that they consciously chose peace over drama and sanity above all else.

At the heart of their message was an unwavering commitment to their children. Vij and Bhanushali assured fans that despite living separate lives, they will continue to co-parent with love and responsibility. “For the sake of our children—Tara, Khushi and Ranjveer—we commit to being the best parents, the best friends, and whatever else it takes to do what is right for them,” they wrote.

The couple also expressed their desire to maintain a strong bond of friendship and mutual support going forward. “We continue to respect one another, support one another, and remain friends, as we always have been,” the note concluded, while requesting privacy, respect and kindness during this transition.

The couple tied the knot in 2011 after a long courtship and quickly became one of Indian television’s most adored couples. In 2017, they fostered two children, Rajveer and Khushi, and later welcomed their biological daughter Tara in 2019.

Their announcement marks not just the end of a chapter, but the beginning of a new equation—one built on maturity, co-parenting, and quiet strength rather than controversy.
