Mckenna Grace’s latest red carpet look takes method dressing to new heights

The red carpet and the movie poster usually stay in separate worlds. At the London screening of ‘The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping’, Mckenna Grace put them together on a single gown.
The 20-year-old actress attended the event on Wednesday, 28 October. The film’s own marketing seemed to have inspired her dress. Instead of choosing a palette associated with the film, the gown recreated the landscape from its promotional imagery.
The look
The dress is Spring Symphony, part of ALmée Couture’s Le Jardin des Rêves collection, and it first appeared at New York Fashion Week SS27 before reaching Grace. The brand describes it as a dreamlike spring landscape in vivid greens beneath an endless blue sky, with dimensional florals cascading along the silhouette and luminous embellishments running down into the train.

The bodice is where the storytelling begins. A swirling blue-and-silver sky opens across the top, followed by purple mountains, green meadows and colourful wildflowers. One writer thought the sky recalled Van Gogh’s Starry Night. The skirt turns into a flower bed. Cinemablend noted that the entire bottom of the dress is covered in purple flowers.
The craft
This is a dress built by hand. The gown is hand-beaded, with crystal work and 3D floral appliqués. The dress flowed into a skirt with a train that followed Grace along the arrival carpet. The house describes the piece as meticulously handcrafted, reflecting countless hours of dedication.
The styling
Grace’s team, led by stylist Molly Dickson, kept the rest of the look soft so the dress could carry the evening. She wore soft blonde bangs and iridescent lilac eyeshadow, and the gown had delicate multicoloured beaded straps. The lilac echoes the mountains stitched across her bodice.
This wasn’t a one-off. Throughout the press tour, Grace has dressed for the franchise. Earlier on the tour, she wore a tribute to the white feathered wedding gown Jennifer Lawrence made famous in ‘Catching Fire’. ‘In Sunrise on the Reaping’, she plays the lead role of Maysilee Donner. The film reaches theatres on 20 November 2026.
The designer
ALmée Couture is a Cambodian couture house founded in 2024 and led by founder and CEO Taing Sokhang, who has more than 10 years of experience in fashion design. The label aims to merge Cambodian heritage with modern artistry, with a focus on craftsmanship, cultural storytelling and innovation on the global stage.
The house has since shown at New York Fashion Week (SS26 and SS27) and Paris Fashion Week SS27, and now has a Hollywood red-carpet moment to its name.
