NTA declares NIFT entrance exam 2025 stage 1 result: Here’s where to check

The National Testing Agency (NTA) had been entrusted by the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), with the task of conducting of NIFT Entrance Examination for Admissions into UG, PG, and Ph.D. Programmes for the Academic year 2025-26. 

The Stage 1 Entrance Examinations for Bachelor of Design (B.Des.), Master of Design (M.Des.), Master of Fashion Management (M.F.M.), Master of Fashion Technology (M.F.Tech.), and Lateral Entry (B.Des. and B.F.Tech.) were conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT)/Paper Based Test (PBT) mode (as applicable) on 9 February 2025 (Sunday) in 91 centres located across 81 cities in India, in Hindi and English mediums. 

The result of Stage 1 has been declared for all programmes except Bachelor of Fashion Technology (B.F.Tech.), which will be announced separately in due course along with the final results of all UG and PG programmes, since there is no second phase examination for B.F.Tech. 

Candidates may visit https://exams.nta.ac.in/NIFT/ to view and download their results using their Application Number and date of birth. 

The results for the B.F.Tech. programme will be declared separately in due course.

Shortlisting for Stage 2 comprising the Situation Test, Studio Test, and/or Personal Interview (as applicable) has been done on the basis of candidates’ performance in Stage 1 and in accordance with the approved category-wise seat matrix and shortlisting criteria laid down by NIFT. 

As per the criteria, candidates have been shortlisted in the ratio of 1:4 (one seat: four candidates), category-wise. In the case of PwD candidates, the shortlisting has been done with the additional condition that they must have secured at least 50% of the cut-off marks of their respective category. 

The status of each candidate is being displayed online, as applicable: (i) For UG Programmes (B.Des.): Shortlisted / Not Shortlisted for Situation Test (ii) For PG Programmes (M.Des., MFM, M.F.Tech.): Shortlisted / Not Shortlisted for Personal Interview (iii) For B.Des. (NLEA): Shortlisted / Not Shortlisted for Studio Test & Interview (iv) For B.F.Tech. (NLEA): Shortlisted / Not Shortlisted for Technical Ability Test (TAT) & Interview.

The dates for Stage 2 examinations (Situation Test, Studio Test, and/or Personal Interview) will be announced separately through the official websites.
