Master class 12 Physics: Enroll in free NCERT course on SWAYAM Portal

New Delhi: The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has launched a free online physics course for Class 12 students on the SWAYAM portal, reported NDTV.

The 24-week course is designed to strengthen conceptual understanding of physics through video lectures, e-text, animations, practice questions and assignments. It also connects theory with real-life applications to improve problem-solving skills.

Physics is often seen as one of the most challenging subjects for students, but NCERT officials said the course aims to bridge learning gaps and make quality education more accessible.

The programme is split into two parts, Course 03 and Course 04, covering 10 units across 43 modules. Topics include electrostatics, current electricity, magnetism, electromagnetic induction, optics, dual nature of matter, atoms and nuclei, electronic devices and communication systems. Each module is supplemented with additional reading material and ends with an assessment.

Enrollment is open until Sept 1, 2025, while exam registration closes Sept 7. Exams are scheduled for Sept 10, subject to seat availability.

The key objective, according to NCERT, is to help Class 12 learners master core concepts in physics while developing higher-order thinking and analytical skills.
