DIAT invites applications for short-term course on academic writing and research tools: Apply now

Department of Technology Management, Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT), a premier Deemed University under the Department of Defence Research and Development, Ministry of Defence, Government of India; Girinagar, Pune-411025; has invited applications for the Short-Term Course on The Science & Art of Academic Writing, Publication and Protection, to be held from 07 July 2025 to 11 July 2025.

Major topics to be covered in the short-term course include, Productive Thinking Skills for Research; Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs) and Research Maturity; Research Idea Generation & Refinement Techniques; Intellectual Property & Research Protections; Data Collection and analysis – Best Practices; Technology Transfer & Commercialization Pathways; Tools for Research Documentation; Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) and Confidentiality in Research; Professional Ethics, Integrity & AI in Research; Grants, Funding & Career Development in Research; Effective Oral Presentations & Conference Talks; Time and Stress Management in research, etc.

The short-term course will include sessions delivered by the world’s top 2% of scientists and eminent faculty from DIAT. The entire course will be conducted offline, which will consist of engaging lectures and classroom activities.

The short-term course is open to research scholars, faculty members, scientists, and aspiring researchers from the country.

Registration is mandatory. The registration fee for students (graduate/postgraduate/research scholars) is Rs. 3000/-. For Scientists/Faculty/Working Professionals, it is Rs. 6000/-
