IOB Apprentice Recruitment 2025: Eligibility, dates, how to apply online
The Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) has announced the recruitment of 750 Apprentices across the country. The application process begins on 10 August 2025, and interested candidates can apply through the bank’s official website, iob.in.

Candidates can submit their applications online by following these steps:
- Visit the official website, iob.in.
- On the homepage, select Apply Online next to the Engagement of Apprentices link.
- A new page will open.
- Under the Career Opportunities section, click on Apprentice Opportunities and then choose Indian Overseas Bank.
- Select the notification dated 8 August 2025.
- Click on ‘Click Here To Apply’.
- Fill in your personal information, details on your ability to write, speak, and read the local language, academic qualifications, and other required information.
- Submit the form and make the payment to complete the registration process.

- Tentative exam date: 24 August 2025
Eligibility criteria
Applicants must be citizens of India and hold a degree from a recognised university.
For candidates under the General and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) categories, the minimum age limit is 20 years and the maximum is 28 years.
Age relaxations are applicable for candidates from Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBCs), and Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) categories.
Selection process
The recruitment process will consist of an online written objective examination followed by a local language test.
The online exam will cover:
- General Awareness
- General English
- Quantitative and Reasoning Aptitude
- Computer or Subject Knowledge
Each section will have 25 questions, with 1 mark for each correct answer.
