AP Inter Results 2025 announced: 78% pass in 2nd year, 67% in 1st year; recounting starts 13 April

The Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh (BIEAP), has officially announced the AP Intermediate Public Examination (IPE) results for 1st and 2nd year students today, 12 April 2025, at 11:00 AM. Over 10 lakh students appeared for the exams and can now access their marks at the official portals: bie.ap.gov.in, using their hall ticket numbers and dates of birth.

The results are also accessible via WhatsApp through the Mana Mitra service. Students can send a "Hi" message to 9552300009 to receive their digital marks memo directly. The 1st year exams were held from 1 to 19 March, and 2nd year exams from 3 to 20 March.

In the general stream, 78% of students cleared the 2nd year, while 67% passed the 1st year. As in previous years, girls are expected to have outperformed boys. Detailed performance metrics and district-wise statistics were released during the Education Department’s press briefing.

Top-performing districts for 1st year:

  • Krishna: 85%
  • Guntur: 82%
  • NTR: 81%

Top-performing districts for 2nd year:

  • Krishna: 93%
  • Guntur: 91%
  • NTR: 89%
  • East Godavari, SPSR Nellore, Visakhapatnam: 87%

Students must score a minimum of 35% per subject to qualify. Those who do not meet the requirement can apply for supplementary exams scheduled for June 2025.

Applications for recounting and scanned copy-cum-reverification of valued scripts will be accepted from 13 April to 22 April 2025. The application fee is Rs 100 per subject. Details will be available on the BIEAP website.

The current online marks memo is provisional; original mark sheets will be distributed via schools in May 2025. Education Minister Nara Lokesh shared live updates via his X handle (@naralokesh), congratulating students and affirming the board’s focus on transparency and timely access to results.

Students are urged to verify their name and subject-wise scores and report any discrepancies immediately. These results play a key role in determining eligibility for higher education courses and entrance exams such as NEET and JEE.
