Samsung launches Galaxy Z TriFold with 200MP camera, 10-inch display: Detailed specs inside

Samsung has unveiled its latest flagship foldable, the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold, boasting an impressive 10-inch main screen and a 200MP rear camera. Designed for power users and tech enthusiasts, this device blends cutting-edge display technology with a versatile triple-camera system, offering both productivity and photography enhancements.
The Galaxy Z TriFold is set to push the boundaries of foldable smartphones and comes packed with high-end specifications for performance, display, and battery life.

The Galaxy Z TriFold features a 10.0-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X main display with a resolution of 2160 x 1584 pixels, offering 269 ppi, 1,600 nits peak brightness, and a 120 Hz adaptive refresh rate.
Its cover screen measures 6.5 inches with FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X technology, 2520 x 1080 resolution, 422 ppi, 2,600 nits peak brightness, and the same 120 Hz adaptive refresh rate. Samsung has ensured both displays deliver vibrant colours, sharp clarity, and smooth visuals for multitasking and media consumption.

The smartphone measures 159.2 x 75.0 x 12.9 mm (HxWxD) when folded and expands to 159.2 x 214.1 x 3.9 mm (HxWxD) when unfolded. The device thickness varies slightly: approximately 3.9 mm on the screen with the SIM tray, 4.2 mm at the centre, and 4.0 mm along the screen with the side button. Despite its expansive form factor, the Galaxy Z TriFold weighs 309 grams, making it relatively manageable for a device with multiple foldable panels.

The Galaxy Z TriFold features a versatile triple rear camera setup. Its ultra-wide 12MP camera comes with Dual Pixel autofocus, F2.2 aperture, and a 120˚ field of view.
The main wide-angle camera impresses with a 200MP Quad Pixel sensor, F1.7 aperture, optical image stabilisation (OIS), and an 85˚ field of view, including 2x optical quality zoom.
Completing the rear setup is a 10MP telephoto camera with PDAF, OIS, F2.4 aperture, a 36˚ field of view, 3x optical zoom, and digital zoom up to 30x.
For selfies, the cover screen hosts a 10MP camera with F2.2 aperture and 85˚ field of view, while the main screen offers a 10MP front camera with F2.2 aperture, and a 100˚ field of view.

Under the hood, the Galaxy Z TriFold runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform for Galaxy, built on a 3 nm process. It is available with either 16 GB of memory paired with 512 GB or 1 TB of internal storage, ensuring seamless multitasking, gaming, and media handling.
The Galaxy Z TriFold runs on Android 16 with Samsung's One UI 8, offering a smooth and feature-rich user experience.
Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold battery and charging
The device packs a 5,600 mAh three-cell battery system spread across its panels, designed to provide long-lasting performance despite its expansive screens.
Charging is handled via Super-Fast Charging 2.0 at 45 W, capable of reaching 50 percent in approximately 30 minutes with the supplied adapter and 3A USB-C cable. Wireless charging is supported with Fast Wireless Charging 2.0 at 15 W.

Samsung has equipped the Galaxy Z TriFold with premium materials for durability. The cover glass uses Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2, while the back is made from ceramic-glass fibre reinforced polymer. The frame features a titanium hinge housing combined with an advanced armour aluminium frame, enhancing robustness for daily use. The phone is IP48 rated for water and dust resistance.
Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold colours and availability
The Galaxy Z TriFold will be available in a single Crafted Black colour option. It is expected to go on sale first in Korea on December 12, 2025, followed by other markets including China, Taiwan, Singapore, the UAE, and the US.
At launch, the device will be available at select retail stores in respective countries for hands-on discovery and in-store assistance.
The Galaxy Z TriFold will be available in Korea for 3,590,000 won, which translates to roughly ₹2,20,000. However, Samsung has not yet shared any details about when the device might arrive in India.
