UK-based tech company Nothing has confirmed that its upcoming flagship smartphone, the Nothing Phone (3), will be ‘Made in India’. The company revealed this in a teaser ahead of the global launch on July 1, 2025. According to reports, the production will take place at its Chennai facility, underscoring India’s growing importance as a manufacturing hub for cutting-edge technology. This move is likely to strengthen Nothing’s position in one of its most important markets.

In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday, the company wrote, “Phone (3). Designed in London. Made in India.”

The post also featured an image of what appears to be the rear panel of the Nothing Phone (3), showcasing its transparent design with intricate circuit-like etchings. The image also reveals the model number — Model: A024 — and mentions the company name Nothing Technology Limited, based in London, England.

Nothing co-founder Akis Evangelidis, in a post on X, expressed his enthusiasm about the company’s Indian factory, saying, “Proudly made in India - loved my visit at the factory last year. Need to go back soon!”

The Chennai manufacturing plant reportedly employs 500 staff, with women making up 95% of the workforce. Nothing claims to reduce lead times, increase operational efficiency, and better meet demand in the Indian market. This approach is aligned with the company’s broader strategy to enhance its global footprint by leveraging India’s manufacturing capabilities.

The Nothing Phone (3) is expected to be the brand’s first true flagship smartphone. Reports indicate the device could be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. If confirmed, the phone will offer top-tier performance suited for demanding apps and next-generation AI features.

According to reports, in the United States, the base model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage could be priced at $799 (roughly ₹68,320), reflecting a $100 increase from the Nothing Phone (2).
