London: Tech brand Nothing has unveiled its latest true wireless earbuds, the Nothing Ear (3), featuring a refreshed design, upgraded performance, and smart AI integration. The earbuds, available in black and white, are priced at $179 (approx ₹15,778), with global pre-orders opening on September 18, 2025.

Maintaining its signature transparent look, the Nothing Ear (3) showcases its internal components through polished metal accents. The charging case now uses 100% recycled aluminium, processed through 27 precision steps to ensure a premium finish.
The earbuds employ nano injection moulding to fuse metal and plastic, eliminating glue and creating a seamless unibody design. For everyday durability, both the earbuds and the case are IP54-rated for resistance to dust, sweat, and light rain.
Nothing Ear (3) performance and connectivity boost
Inside, the Nothing Ear (3) is engineered for improved functionality. A custom Metal-Insulator-Metal (MIM) antenna, measuring just 0.35 mm, increases radiated power by 15% and signal sensitivity by 20% compared with the April 2024 model. The earbuds support Bluetooth 5.4 with LDAC and feature a low-latency mode under 120 milliseconds, ideal for gaming and video playback.
Battery life has seen a notable boost, with each earbud housing a 55 mAh battery that offers up to 10 hours of listening without ANC, 90 minutes more than the previous model. The upgraded Nothing Ear (3) battery life combined with the charging case extends total playback to 38 hours. Rapid USB-C charging can deliver 10 hours of listening with just 10 minutes of charge, complemented by wireless charging.

A standout addition is the ability to activate ChatGPT directly from the earbuds using the Nothing X app, which also enables control customisation and access to features such as "Essential Space". The Nothing Ear (3) charging case makes it convenient to carry and charge on the go. Ear (3) supports effortless pairing across Android (Google Fast Pair), iOS, and Windows (Microsoft Swift Pair) devices.
Nothing Ear (3) Super Mic feature explained
The Ear (3) introduces finely tuned audio performance, a high-performance Super Mic housed in its case, and an all-new design approach that, for the first time, incorporates metal elements into Nothing’s iconic transparent style, raising the benchmark for personal audio devices.
Central to the Ear (3) is the Super Mic, a dual-microphone system built into the charging case. Leveraging ambient noise-filtering technology, it isolates your voice and suppresses background sounds up to 95 dB, delivering exceptionally clear calls in any setting. Users can activate Super Mic by pressing the TALK button on the case, whether for brief chats or longer conversations.
Beyond calls, the Super Mic allows instant capture of ideas directly from the case. Pressing the TALK button records voice notes, which automatically sync to Essential Space and are transcribed for convenience (requires Nothing OS).
