Everything to know about Google Pixel 10 launch and leaked specs

Google is reportedly gearing up for the launch of its Pixel 10 smartphone series in August. Details about the upcoming device have already surfaced online, revealing what users can expect in terms of design and specifications. The new Pixel 10 will inherit several elements from the Pixel 9 but will introduce a few notable changes, especially in areas such as battery capacity, chipset, and charging capabilities.
Google Pixel 10 display and performance details
A report by Android Headlines suggests the Pixel 10 will retain the 6.3-inch Full HD+ screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, similar to its predecessor. The display will continue to be protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass Victus 2. However, there will be a jump in brightness levels, with high brightness mode increasing from 1800 nits to 2000 nits and peak brightness climbing from 2700 nits to 3000 nits.
The device will be powered by Google’s new Tensor G5 chip, which is based on TSMC’s 3nm process. It will be paired with 12GB of RAM and will offer two storage variants: 128GB and 256GB.
Battery and charging improvements
Battery capacity will also see a modest bump, growing to 4,970mAh—around 5 percent larger than the Pixel 9’s battery. The Pixel 10 will support 29W wired charging and 15W wireless charging using the Qi2 standard, making power delivery faster and more efficient.
Camera adjustments and removed features
Camera features on the Pixel 10 are also set to change. Google is likely to equip the phone with a 10.8MP 5x telephoto lens, which first appeared in the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. However, the main and ultrawide sensors might be reduced in quality. The primary camera is expected to have a 48MP sensor, akin to the Pixel 9a, while the ultrawide sensor may be downgraded to 12MP from the 48MP version used in the Pixel 9.
The phone may drop support for a vapour chamber cooling system and will reportedly not include WiFi 7—both of which were available in the previous model.
Variants and availability
The Pixel 10 series will reportedly consist of four models: Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold. Sales are expected to begin on August 28 following the official launch.
