Formula 1 confirms Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2026, Yas Marina Finale is on

After weeks of uncertainty, Formula 1 has confirmed that the 2026 season will end in Abu Dhabi as planned. The Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix will take place at Yas Marina Circuit from 3 to 6 December 2026, with the race itself forming the season finale.
The announcement puts an end to speculation that the final race could be moved to Europe amid ongoing regional tensions. Formula 1 President and CEO Stefano Domenicali confirmed during the Dutch Grand Prix weekend at Zandvoort that the calendar remains unchanged.
“The calendar is confirmed. There are still a few tickets to be sold in Abu Dhabi.”
Domenicali also said preparations for the event are progressing well, with remaining tickets expected to sell.
What to expect at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix
This year, the wider event will bring together Formula 1 racing, concerts, hospitality and entertainment across Yas Island.
Fans can expect access to the island’s restaurants, hotels, nightlife and attractions alongside the action at the circuit.
The Qatar Grand Prix is scheduled for 27 to 29 November, before the Formula 1 circus heads to Abu Dhabi for the final race of the season.

Four days of racing, music and entertainment
The After-Race Concert series will feature Zara Larsson and Lewis Capaldi on Thursday, 3 December, while Imagine Dragons will perform on Saturday, 5 December. More performers are expected to be announced.
The entertainment begins with Andrea Bocelli set to perform at Etihad Arena on Wednesday, 2 December, launching the new Yasalam Classics programme.
Alongside the concerts, the weekend will include Formula 1 racing at Yas Marina Circuit, hospitality experiences and entertainment across Yas Island.
Why the Abu Dhabi Finale was in doubt
Earlier in the year, the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix were cancelled in April because of the security situation in the Middle East.
Bahrain’s race was subsequently moved to Malaysia’s Sepang International Circuit, where it is scheduled for 4 October.
With the regional situation raising questions over the Qatar and Abu Dhabi races, Domenicali had previously said Formula 1 could look to Europe for an alternative season finale. Imola was reportedly among the circuits considered, with a decision expected by mid-September.
