Fan disrupts Kerala Super League final at Kozhikode for selfie; Arrested and granted bail | VIDEO

Kozhikode: A fan who rushed onto the field during the Kerala Super League football final at Corporation Stadium has been charged by the Kasaba Police. The incident caused a brief disruption to the match, but the fan was later released on bail.

The fan, identified as Harjeesh (29) from North Beypore Kunnummal Kaithavalappu, entered the playing field on Sunday during the match. He had come down from the gallery to take a selfie with Calicut football star Belfort.

When the police attempted to remove him from the field, Belfort insisted on taking a selfie with the fan, which caused a brief pause in the game. After the selfie, the police escorted the fan off the field. 

A case has been filed against Harjeesh for disrupting the match, though he was later granted bail.
