Malappuram FC triumphs in Kerala Super League opener

Kochi: Malappuram FC, led by Anas Edathodika, secured a decisive 2-0 victory over Força Kochi in the opening match of the Kerala Super League season. The match took place at the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium in Kochi.
The first half saw both goals scored by Malappuram FC. In the third minute, a cross from Faslu Rahman was expertly finished by Uruguayan striker Pedro Manzi to give Malappuram the lead (1-0). Five minutes before the end of the first half, Malappuram doubled their advantage when Manzi’s header was met by Rahman, who headed it into the net (2-0).
Throughout the match, Malappuram FC demonstrated excellent performance, with the team, under the experienced leadership of Anas Edathodika, showing remarkable cohesion. The team is coached by John Gregory from England.
